Here at DPRC we have designed and launched an online exercise programme geared towards cancer patients and elderly persons who have to cocoon at home during COVID 19.
We completed this programme in conjunction with NECRET (Northeast Cancer and Research Unit ) at our lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda. These classes were designed based on current literature whereby strength loss is associated with higher risks of falls, fractures, and general functional decline in both cancer patients and elderly persons. We hope to keep you all fit and strong and active at home and please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information. Many thanks to Eric Donovan, Kelvin Finnegan and Kieran Mc Ivor for all their help in making these videos. |
