Physiotherapy

At DPRC, we provide expert physio in the North East to assess, manage, and rehabilitate a wide range of injuries and conditions. Our team of Chartered Physiotherapists (CORU-registered) offer tailored care across musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory issues to help you recover safely and return to full strength. We also utilise joint mobilisation and manipulation to restore normal joint movement, relieve pain, and improve flexibility. Mobilisation helps return synovial fluid to its proper position, while manipulation—often producing a gentle “click”—unlocks stiff joints, increases range of motion, and eases musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the pelvis and lower back.

Common Conditions We Treat

  • Back and neck pain (acute and chronic)

  • Sports injuries (sprains, strains, tendonitis)

  • Post-operative rehabilitation (hip, knee, shoulder, ACL, meniscus)

  • Joint replacements and post-orthopaedic surgery rehab

  • Shoulder injuries (rotator cuff, frozen shoulder, dislocations)

  • Knee injuries (ligament, meniscus, patellofemoral pain)

  • Hip injuries and osteoarthritis

Our personalised home care service enables clients to recover safely at home following hip or knee surgery, hospital stays, respite care, falls, or age-related injuries. We provide short- or long-term rehabilitation programmes to restore strength, mobility, and confidence in daily life.

Cancer Care Physiotherapy

At Drogheda Physiotherapy & Rehab Clinic, we provide specialised cancer care physiotherapy to support individuals living with cancer and cancer survivors. Our goal is to help you become fitter, stronger, and improve overall health through personalised, tailored exercise and rehabilitation plans.
We offer home-based exercises and guidance, developed in partnership with the North East Cancer Research and Treatment group (NECRET), to ensure patients can continue physiotherapy even if they cannot attend clinic sessions. These programmes also benefit the elderly, those with mobility issues, post-surgery patients, and anyone looking to safely introduce strength and conditioning into their lifestyle.

This was designed for Cancer patients who were unable to get to their normal physiotherapy sessions and exercise classes, which is so important in their battle with the disease, during Covid-19. However, we have seen a benefit from a much wider community such as the elderly, those with mobility issues, people recovering from injury or surgery or just those who would like to introduce some strength training into their lifestyle.
